Introducing the Cohuna Golf Club
The Golf Club at Cohuna is located in the Loddon Murray Region of Victoria, Australia. The home course of Australian professional golfer Stefan Note, the Cohuna Golf & Bowls Club has been magically carved out of the Gunbower forest along the banks of the Gunbower Creek, a major tributary of the Murray River in Northern Victoria.
Originally sand, the Murray River Golf Course at Cohuna was transformed to grass greens in the 1970’s. Well treed, the course comprises 18 manicured holes uniquely situated on Australia’s largest inland island. Kangaroos and Murray River bird life share these renowned fairways amongst the tall red gum and box forest trees.
A social golfers heaven, Cohuna has plenty to offer. Accommodation, attractions, recreation, shopping and more only 3 hour’s drive from Melbourne, our state capital. The clubhouse with it’s views of 1st tee and bowls rinks, is close to the picturesque township of Cohuna, also nestled on the banks of the majestic Gunbower Creek.
The major regional centres of Kerang, Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill are within 1 hour by road.
If you’re a social golfer who loves to travel and play Murray River golf courses, then Cohuna is a must play destination. The Cohuna Golf Course is one of the best golf courses you’ll find anywhere on the Murray River and central to the well known Rich River at Echuca and Murray Downs Resort at Swan Hill golf courses.
